Jason earned an Associate of Arts degree in May 2012 and graduated cum laude (with honors). He plans to pursue his Bachelor's degree in Rural Development at the University of Alaska Fairbanks starting next fall. Jason also served as Student Government President for KuC during Spring 2012 semester. |

Jason D. Smith of Bethel was honored as KuC Student of the Year at an April 30 ceremony at the UAF Kuskokwim Campus. Jason is the son of Showalter Smith, Sr. and Grace Smith of Eagle River. His grandparents are Peter (deceased) and Lucy Jacobs of Bethel, and the late Mary and Peter Smith, Sr. of Mekoryuk. |
